Aborginal Education Incursion - 19th of August

Dear Parents and Carers,

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

On Tuesday 19^th August 2025 we are very fortunate to welcome ‘Aboriginal Incursions’ to Yandelora to complement our learning.

‘Aboriginal Incursions’ provide world class indigenous dance, didgeridoo, ceremony, performance, art and culture workshops delivered by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander facilitators tailored specifically for our students and school setting.
